The plight of Muslim women in Bangladesh

Recently, there have been several rape cases in Bangladesh by Hindu boys, which the media has not taken a significant position on. There have been cases of rape of Muslim women of various ages, including 9 years to 13 years.

We have seen the administration’s stance on an incident where the police posted false claims on their verify page (when the investigation was not yet complete) even though the girl was a 13-year-old child. And there is also information about the police threatening the girl’s father by calling him.

In another incident, a student of Dhaka University, who worked as a private tutor, allegedly made his Muslim student unconscious by administering anesthesia and then raped her. He later confessed to the crime himself through a Facebook post. The incident has since been proven to be true.

Despite this, the media seems absent from the scene, and the authorities appear to be siding with the rapist, attempting to secretly move him to safety. Other students of Dhaka University resisted this move last night. In response, the rapist’s father threatened to hand over the protesting students to the police.

Despite several separate incidents of rape being reported, there has been no statement from the government nor any clear stance from the authorities.

If you wish, your reporters can look into this matter further. Alternatively, I can also provide you with more information.
